FITZ Brut 2016 (65 Months on Lees)
The ever changing 2016 vintage which started hot, went cool, got wet in July, then hot again but still had everything ready for harvest by Labour Day. As a result, we had interesting ripeness in fruit with high natural acidity.
The Fitz Brut is made using the traditional method from 100% estate grown grapes from Greata Ranch Vineyard.
A small amout of the 2016 vintage was left on lees for an extra 65 + months resulting in a richness and complexity in the wine. The 2016 Fitz Brut Extra Lees has a subtle bouquet of red apple and pear with brioche notes. A crisp, textural mouth feel with good mid palate weight and a soft finish. A very special sparkling.
